The New North Wing is a £3.8 million, 4-storey building with an auditorium and 2 music rooms on the ground floor, and 18 en-suite guest bedrooms, spread over the remaining 3 floors.
Black Prota plug-in ceiling roses were put forward as an ideal solution. They were supplied prewired with black 5-core cable, complete with black decorative covers.
Our Project Packing Service was used to ensure that installation went as smoothly as possible. When using this service all products are packed on a room-by-room or circuit-by-circuit basis. Each individual box is clearly labelled with the Project name, floor, area and room or circuit in which it is to be installed.
Flex7 lighting connection products, including more than 4000 luminaire leads, over 700 Dual Control Starter Boxes, and 140 Auxiliary Adaptor Boxes have been installed at Pool Street West the new world-class UCLE campus located on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

Using a Dual Supply Box made it possible to share power across a bedroom and en-suite, with separate control requirements. Presence detection was provided in the en-suite bathrooms, and manual switching in the bedrooms.
Flex7 lighting connection and controls were recently installed in the newest branch of ROAR Fitness Gym in South Kensington. At 6,500 Square foot, the extremely high-specification gym boasts London’s largest liquid metal wall in its reception area.
Flex7 VF type Control Modules were used throughout the building. These control modules offer an extra, volt-free output that can be used alongside the lighting output. This extra output was used for the air conditioning, to ensure that both lights and air conditioning are automatically turn off when a room or area is not in use.
Specified by UR-EKA Lighting and Controls Ltd, flex7 were able to offer a bespoke lighting control solution that linked to the fire station's alarm system. Important lights in the building were networked together using flex7 network leads. A special flex7 Control Pack was connected to the alarm panel in the station, and receives a volt-free signal whenever the alarm goes off
flex7 have helped to dramatically increase efficiency of radiotherapy units at Musgrove Park Hospital, Beacon Centre using their ZoneLite Lighting Control Modules. The Hospital is one of many across the UK who have a specialist unit to treat cancer patients.
