In 1998 flex7 created the world’s first 7-pole lighting connection interface. Since then we’ve designed an entire connection & control system around these clever plug & socket modules. In this article we will be focusing on on the heart of our product range; our lighting distribution unit or, as we prefer, connection unit.
flex7 have developed a unique range of plug-in switches that operate at Protected Extra Low Voltage (PELV) and offer the installer dramatic time savings. Switches are connected using a lead with RJ11 connectors, one end plugging into the switch, the other into the flex7 control pack or ZoneLite unit.
flex7 lighting controls are available with the added benefit of integrated emergency test. This feature can save time during both installation, and when carrying out periodic testing. Our lighting controls can easily be networked together meaning that rather than testing each circuit or phase separately, you can simply use one master key switch to test emergency luminaires across multiple circuits or even phases.
Our newest offering is the flex7 Scene Setting Kit for conference rooms. It offers a plug & play lighting connection and control solution that allows the user to set and recall 4 individual scenes. All products in the kit simply plug together, saving significant time on site, and reducing the need for skilled labour
Lighting controls for schools and universities - When designing the lighting scheme for a new or refurbished education setting, there are many things to consider including time constraints, regulations, energy-efficiency and special client requirements.
The wall-mounted panel allows you to set up 4 lighting scenes, and instantly recall them with the simple press of a button. If needed, scenes can be further adjusted while in use, by dimming up/down individual channels, to create a tailor made lighting scene.
